About Cotner Monument

Our Story

A 140 Year Tradition

Some things have changed since our founding
as Davis Monument Works in 1873; however, our commitment to the families we serve has always remained the same.

Since our founding in 1873, we have created our success by taking exceptional care of each and every customer. Today we have combined not decades, but centuries of wonderful customer experiences that has led generations of families to come see us when that special time of need arises. From a single location on Garrison Avenue in Ft Smith, The Davis Monument Company started building monuments for families in Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. Today, under a common family of ownership our company continues to serve our region through our Cotner, Heritage and Hot Springs Monument companies. Our headquarters continues to be in Ft Smith where all of our production and delivery originates. Our stores in Springdale, Mena and Hot Springs offer our customers an avenue to come in and visit with us to create a unique memorial for their loved one. In addition to our company stores, many customers cannot physically come see us and for those customers we offer a wonderful experience working remotely via phone, email and text. We utilize a wide array of electronic tools that allow us to go through a seamless process with families whether they are able to come see us or not.

Our goal is to honor the traditions of the past using every tool available today and keep ourselves prepared for the future. We have nearly 150 years of serving families and are paving the way for another 150… Please let us help you create your memory that will last forever.

Cotner Monument was founded as Davis Monument Works in 1873, a year after Judge Isaac C. Parker began presiding over the Federal Courts for the Western District of Arkansas. We have one of the richest histories of any company within Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. Cotner Establishment Badge
