Hand
and Laser Etching
Etching
is a process where by the surface of the stone is roughened to produce a
contrast from the natural polished stone. One can either leave the
natural contract, highlight the contract area or add full spectrum color
to the design. Cotner
Monument and Heritage Monument are unique
in that they have the
capability to do both hand etching and computer controlled laser
etching. No other monument company in the mid west have both
abilities with the same high quality trained and skilled artist without
going to outside contractors. Many
companies provide stock etching designs. Although we have many
common designs, none of our designs are by any means stock. All
are custom. We can do a design as simple as a woodland scene with
wildlife or as complex as a rendering of your ranch, church, home, or
other important memory. We work with you to capture just the art
you desire on your memorial. Here
are just a few of the memorials we have created. Click

dog were based on the pictures of the deceased and his animals.

Mr. Relyea devoted his life as a missionary in New Guinea. The
etching was a composite of the hut in which he lived and the view of a volcano
on the island.

These are laser generated etchings of the deceased and Jesus from
his funeral announcement.

These are laser generated etchings of pictures of this young man on
his motorcycle. The laser work is accompanied by a porcelain
picture.

These roses were hand etched and highlighted with metal powders to
give the rose a shine similar to a real plant.

This is another example of laser etching on a black bevel marker.
